![]() ![]() So, you need to be *very* careful that you're not clicking on an advert when you visit web sites, as *many* (if not most) legit web sites make use of adverts being placed by advertising servers owned by Google (and other similar advert providers). Then, they decide what advert to display to a given page viewer that they're more likely to click on. They also look at the content on the page you're viewing. Those types of scripts "fingerprint" you by looking at your Operating System, IP Address, Browser Type and Version, plugins installed and more. ![]() In the case of that Opanda page, it runs a script located on (an advertising content provider site owned by Google). ![]() The site owners don't even know what adverts are being displayed and usually do not have any control over it when they use advert services from Google and other similar providers. Kind of crappy thing for legit sites to do. Many legit sites place ads from those types of services on their sites, and they're usually rotated on a regular basis to different adverts (often looking at things like the OS, browser version, etc. That Green Download button is part of an advert placed on that page by (and has nothing to do with opanda, and nothing to do with downloading iExif). ![]()
